Day Four :: Redwoods >> Fern Canyon >> Sand Dunes, Florence OR
Woke up amongst Redwoods, which already started our day off right. We stayed in the Humboldt portion of the forest which was planted right on the Avenue of the Giants, score. Great campsite by the way, friendly staff and firewood $8 at the front.
Then of course we went to go do what we do best, explore with our cameras.
This place just floored me, as I said before in my last post I was speechless…which explains the little amount of text.
Next Stop :: Fern Canyon, Oregon
On the way…just a quick pull off of Highway 1, worth it.
::Fern Canyon::
We felt as if we were walking through the set of Jurassic Park, which is funny because we found out they actually filmed the second Jurassic Park not too far from where we were hiking. These walls were covered with ferns, I mean covered. The air so cool and moist it felt as though we stepped into another world. Make sure to wear shoes you don’t mind getting wet because there’s a small stream that flows through.
Final Destination >> Florence, OR
But this happened on our way with continued daylight…wowowowow
…and yes we all freaked out and jumped out of the car to snap away
We stayed at the cutest airbnb in Florence, stocked with breakfast goodies and plenty of blankets and of course indulged in delicious seafood at Chart Room in Crescent City, OR for dinner.
